Corporate Social Responsibility

With the company being based in and around Soho, we have decided to focus our attention towards the community in which we operate. This includes ad hoc support of our local area through events, festivals and public realm works and also includes some longer term commitments:

 

Soho Estates is represented and actively involved on numerous committees within organizations serving to promote and develop the property industry and our local community and environment.

 

These include:

 

• The Soho Action plan
• The Soho Safer Neighborhood Panel
• The Heart of London Business Alliance
• Safer Soho Business Partnership

 

John James is a Director of 'The Heart Of London Business Alliance', which promises to incite partnerships and ignite projects changing the landscape of the West End of London. It works closely with the businesses and partners to tackle crime in the area, sharing information and facilitating discussions on specific issues and concern. Their aim is to promote the area and improve the streets. John is also a Director of the 'Safer Soho Business Partnership' which is an independent organisation formed with the sole intention of facilitating the reduction of crime within the business community of Soho and is run in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service and Westminster City Council.

Environmental Responsibility

Soho Estates aim’s to operate in an environmentally sustainable manner. We are reviewing the implications of our business in accordance with green policies and strategies.

 

With many of our properties being within conservation areas or being ‘listed’, we are investigating opportunities of improving their environmental sustainability through retrofitting.

 

With any of our new builds/refurbishments, we are keen to support the green initiative and incorporate any new innovations.
