Dean Street Townhouse

Dean Street Townhouse

69 - 71 Dean Street, London, W1D

This project was a conversion of an existing mixed use building at 69-70 Dean Street. Over the years this building had many multiple uses including nightclubs, restaurants, bars and retail. The building had become tired and although a fine example of a 19th century building, the interior had been considerably altered from its original form.

Soho Estates, in co-operation with Soho House, applied to convert the building into a 39 bedroom hotel. This presented many challenges as the building was listed. We successfully purchased 71 Dean Street later and incorporated this into the design. This allowed scope for the ancillary requirement to be developed in 71 Dean Street and ease the pressure on 69-70 Dean Street.

The finished product is a fine example of the regeneration of an original building into an alternate use, which continues to be a very successful 39 bedroom hotel, known as the Dean Street Townhouse.

Sanctum Soho Hotel

Sanctum Soho Hotel

20 Warwick Street London, W1B 5NF

This project was a similar development to 69-71 Dean Street. It was originally used as an office building and with the co-operation of the Sanctum Hotel Group, was converted into a 30 bedroom hotel. The construction required the complete demolition of the internal floors and the reconfiguration of the building. We were successful in gaining planning permission for an extra floor and the result is a very upmarket boutique hotel.

41-44 Great Windmill Street

41-44 Great Windmill Street

41-44 Great Windmill Street, London, W1D

This was an original warehouse property which famously housed Jack Solomons Boxing Gym in the 1950’s. The task was to convert it into media style offices and retain the original feel of a warehouse. This was successfully completed in 2005. The project involved a complete strip-out of the original building whilst retaining the brick walls and the coffered ceilings and introducing glass, steel and wood into the design. This project was conducted while the ground floor businesses were in occupation and open. The finished offices were successfully let in a very short time and have been occupied ever since.

Kemble House Penthouse Apartments

Kemble House Penthouse Apartments

58-59 Dean Street, London, W1D

This project was the construction of 3 penthouse apartments on the flat roof of a 1950’s block which had residential and retail use. The construction was in keeping with the design of a 1950’s building but utilising glass to a maximum effect in the design of the flats.
