In 2015 Soho Estates began the development of the former home of the Raymond Revuebar and the surrounding buildings to return this pocket of Soho to the status of London’s entertainment capital. The scheme includes the reimagining of the Boulevard Theatre, an extension to The Box nightclub, and the re-opening of Madame Jojo’s scheduled to take place in early 2023 following an enforced hiatus caused by the global pandemic of 2020/2021.
The project also includes high quality Soho style offices and a number of retail units. The new theatre incorporates a revolving auditorium, giving it the flexibility it needs to stage a wide variety of plays and cabaret shows, as well as a bar and restaurant. Construction completed in the summer of 2019. Sadly the first reincarnation of the Boulevard was short lived and was closed in October 2020 at the height of the pandemic. Negotiations are continuing with a wide variety of partners to reopen as soon as possible.
