Daroco is coming to Ilona Rose House

A new London version of Bella Vita

Since 2016, the Daroco group has been telling the story of a dream meeting between Paris and Italy, with a common love of beauty, a taste for the very good and, above all, a passion for transforming every meal into a joyous moment of sharing. The two Parisian restaurants, located in the 2nd and 16th arrondissements, have become iconic places with atypical and spectacular designs.

A potential of seduction that goes beyond borders and on which the three founders Alexandre Giesbert, Julien Ross, and Nico de Soto are betting to establish themselves in London.

The opening of Daroco, in September 2023, marks the strong ambition of the trio, who are once again striking by exalting the solar generosity of Italian cuisine in a most exceptional location. Daroco joins Soho Estates’ latest mixed-use development, Ilona Rose House in London’s vibrant Soho district. Ilona Rose House has three floors remaining available for let.

Their chief architect Olivier Delannoy sets the scene by imagining a more than singular identity, inspired by the historical movement of the Renaissance. Taking up the fundamentals of this grandiloquent period, the counter opens majestically onto the room, in reference to the baldachin of Saint Peter's and reveals the pizza oven. The show is a dance of volumes and natural materials, where marble meets wood, where brass mixes with plants in the idea of an English garden. A magic that responds from the floor to the mirrored ceiling, the central element of the establishment and of all the Daroco group's restaurants.

On the table, the Daroco style is present in the pizzas with the baroque name and the freshhandmade pasta of all shapes, for all tastes : pappardelle, linguine, trofie .. but also with the great classics of the house such as ravioli alla Stracciatella, the vitello tonnato, the caponakchouka and the crazy chocolate mousse.

Finally, in the basement, you can dive into the intimate cocktail bar that distils the imagination of globe-trotting barman Nico de Soto.

A new Italian restaurant, run in England by three Frenchmen, it couldn't be otherwise!
